Jerry plays for Marin IJ Lobby Lounge
May 16, 2014
You could have heard a pin drop in the IJ Lobby Lounge when Jerry Hannan, one of Marin's finest singer-songwriters, performed a soul-stirring rendition of "Society," a Hannan original that Eddie Vedder sang on the soundtrack of the 2007 Sean Penn film "Into the Wild."

Accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and harmonica, he followed "Society" with the heartrending "I Thought I Was You," a poignant song written by his late brother, Sean, that was also used in "Into the Wild." Sean, who sang and played drums and guitar, died of cancer last year after he and Jerry reformed the Mad Hannans, the band that launched their careers.
